Water heaters: installation, replacement and repair
A water heater does not give much warning. It shows a few signs — lukewarm water instead of hot, a knocking noise, a damp patch on the floor — and then one day the tank gives way and empties itself into the basement.
That is why a planned replacement almost always costs less than an emergency one: there is no water damage to repair on top of it.
We replace, install and repair residential water heaters across the South Shore, from our Boucherville address.
Does this sound familiar?
- Water is lukewarm, or stays hot for much less time than before
- Water pools at the base of the tank or around it
- The tank knocks, rumbles or hisses while heating
- Hot water is rusty or smells of sulphur
- The relief valve drips or keeps triggering
- The heater is over ten years old and has never been flushed
How we work
We confirm the diagnosis
A heater that has stopped heating is not always due for replacement: an element, a thermostat or a valve may be at fault. We check before proposing a new tank.
We shut off and drain
Power or gas off, water off, tank drained — the step that keeps a replacement from becoming water damage.
We install and connect
New tank set in place, supply fittings and relief valve redone, discharge routed correctly.
We commission and verify
Fill, bleed the air, power up, check the temperature and confirm there is no leak at any joint.
