    Shutting every fixture and watching the meter or the pressure separates a genuine leak from condensation or outside infiltration.

  2. Locate before opening

    We trace the water back to pinpoint the zone. The goal is to open as little surface as possible — every square metre opened is a square metre to close again.

  3. Repair and re-pressurise

    The faulty section is repaired or replaced, then the circuit is brought back up to pressure and watched to confirm the leak is genuinely resolved.

How do I know if I have a hidden leak?
Close every tap and use nothing that consumes water for two hours, then read the water meter before and after. If the number moved, water is flowing somewhere. Without a meter, watch the indirect signs: a spreading stain, warping floor, musty smell, or a room that is unusually humid.
Can a small leak really cause damage?
Yes, because the problem is not the volume but the duration. A slow leak keeps wood and drywall permanently damp, which encourages mould and weakens the materials. Serious damage rarely comes from one sudden break; it comes from a small leak ignored for months.
Is my leak covered by home insurance?
It depends on your policy. Broadly, insurers treat a sudden accidental break differently from damage caused by a leak left unaddressed over time. Document the situation with photos from the start and contact your insurer — coverage is their determination, not the plumber’s.
